New town council chairman and Mayor of Bourne Colin Pattison has received the chains of office and is looking forward to a busy year.

The 47-year-old, who lives in Wetherby Close with wife Fiona, has lived in Bourne all his life and was a founder member of Bourne Rugby Union Football Club.

Coun Pattison works for Mid UK Recycling, in Colsterworth, where he runs a composting facility.

A keen cricket and football fan, he supports Liverpool FC and Peterborough United, and is a former discus and shot put champion, having competed for Holbeach Athletics Club.
