Fairtrade fortnight in Stamford

Stamford Fairtrade Group will be at Stamford railway station next week serving Fairtrade teas, coffees and snacks as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

A big brew event will also be held at The Well in Stamford on Friday, March 1, serving coffee and cakes to raise funds supporting the world’s poorest cocoa farmers.

And on Thursday March 7, supporters will enjoy the annual Dine with a Difference meal prepared and served by the catering students at New College, which promises to be a superb meal using Fairtrade and local ingredients.

Stamford is a Fairtrade Town and supporters have been encouraging town shops to stock as many fairtrade goods as is possible.
